California MFT licensing exam performance

The data upon which this database is built is published regularly by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. On their web site, they report exam data in six-month chunks -- great for reviewing graduates' performance on recent exams, but not so good for meaningfully comparing programs, due to the small sample sizes that often result. This database aims to make it easier to see how programs' graduates have performed over time, and to make comparisons based on larger samples from various timeframes.

None of this is meant to imply that licensing exam performance should be a determinant of where you choose to pursue your education. There are many factors to consider when choosing an MFT graduate program, with exam performance just one (imperfect) outcome measure to consider.
